Once inside The Duck & Drake you can opt for the Lounge or the Tap Room. Both have a warm welcome courtesy of the real log fires that are regularly stoked.

In the past the Tap Room was the part of the bar where the workers would be found in their overalls, reliving their days and swearing. The Lounge would have been 2 or 4 old pence more expensive but this is where the more refined clientele would be found and in particular the ladies whose delicate ears were not designed to listen to swearing! Today the Lounge is where the live music takes place, two evenings a week, but both bars welcome all walks of society at any time.
